Meeting with MIPT students

On 24th May, 2010 within the frameworks of “open door” program, FSUE NIIR top management hold a meeting with students of MIPT basic subdepartment «Radio and information technologies».

The program consisted of two parts.

The first part included a meeting with subdepartment’s deputy manager A. Nazarenko, viewing a video film about Institute, and presentation of MFTI subdepartment. In the second part of the program students have visited laboratories:

- Scientific and technical department of technological bases to provide services in radio communication networks. Multimedia subscriber set-top-box "NIIR-DTV" with the expanded range of services has been shown to students.

- Scientific and technical department of the frequency planning for television and sound broadcasting. The Head of laboratory A. Lashkevich has shown a software package «RAKURS»" intended for management of radio spectrum allocated for terrestrial broadcasting.

- Scientific and technical department of TV broadcasting. Engineer A. Lyashko has shown operation of conditional access system "Roscript-M". Students also were provided a unique possibility to visit a room with a capability of three-dimensional visualization where the Head of laboratory I. Orlov has demonstrated operation of the subsystem intended for real time three-dimensional display of modeling results.
