22nd meeting of RSS Commission for Coordination of International Cooperation and 3d meeting of Work Group for interaction with ITU

22nd meeting of RSS Commission for Coordination of International Cooperation (CIC) under the guidance of A. Mukhanov, CIC Chairman and Director of International Cooperation Department of Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communication was held in Tashkent on 11th-12th of March, 2010.

A process of preparation of RSS Administration to World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC10) and ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PC-10) which are to be held in 2010, to Radiocommunication Assembly and World Radiocommunication Conference 2012, Reports of chairmen of ITU Work Groups (ITU WG) and Terminology Work Group (WG Terminology) as well as results of activity of ITU-R, ITU-T and ITU-D Advisory Groups were considered during the meeting.

V. Minkin, FSUE NIIR Deputy Director General, and D. Cherkesov, Head of FSUE NIIR ICD, have participated in the work of the Russian Delegation which was guided by A. Mukhanov, Director of International Cooperation Department of Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communication.

V. Minkin has presented the reports on ITU WG activities, general proposals of RSS Administration to WTDC-10 and PC-10, state of NIIR’s preparatory work to PC-10, preparation for ITU Council 2010 and results of ITU-D AG-10 work.

D. Chercesov has presented NIIR’s materials for interim report on preparation to WTDC-10 and results of ITU-T AG-10 work.

CIC also considered the proposals on candidates from RSS Administration for top positions at WTDC-10, in ITU Council and Radio Regulation Board as well as candidates of Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of ITU-D Advisory Group and Study Groups.

3rd Meeting of WG for interaction with ITU under the guidance of V. Minkin, ITU WG Chairman and FSUE NIIR Deputy Director General, was held before RSS CIC Meeting. The Meeting considered 27 proposals on preparation to WTDC-10 and PC-10 and confirmed 14 RSS CIC general proposals to WTDC-10 and one RSS CIC general proposal to PC-10 (including 5 proposals that are authored or co-authored by FSUE NIIR) which were then approved at CIC meeting and signed by RSS Administration plenipotentiaries.

Development of other proposals will be continued. RSS Executive Committee is requested to submit general proposals of RSS Fdministration to ITU in the prescribed manner.
