    Meeting with studentsOn 18 May 2009 in the framework of an open house day at the basic Chair of “Radio and Information Technologies” of the Moscow Physics and Technology Institute (MPhTI) there took place a meeting with the administration of NIIR FSUE. The agenda of the meeting consisted of two parts. The first part included viewing of a video about the Institute and a presentation of the Chair. In the second part the students were given the opportunity to look around all laboratories: • The Research and Technology Unit for technological foundations of providing services in radio communications networks. NIIR FSUE Deputy Chief Engineer Mr. V.K. Saryan presented “NIIR-CTV” multimedia subscriber CTV set-top-box with an extended range of services provided. • The Research and Technology Unit for frequency planning for TV and sound broadcasting. Laboratory Chief Mr. A.V. Lashkevich demonstrated the software set “Rakurs” for managing the radio frequency spectrum of terrestrial TV and radio broadcasting. • The Research and Technology Unit for TV broadcasting. Engineer Mr. A.A. Lyashko presented “Roscrypt-M” conventional access system. • The Computation Center. Chief Researcher Mr. B.V. Tobotras demonstrated the first super computer in the communications industry. |
