NIIR FSUE is the leading system-level enterprise of the Ministry for Telecommunications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, involved in creating radio communications systems, satellite and terrestrial TV and sound broadcasting systems and in developing radio technologies.
The Institute was set up in 1949 pursuant to the USSR Government decree. NIIR is contributing significantly to the development of modern information and communications technologies. Its research and engineering staff carries out relevant scientific studies, develops advanced radio technology, implements projects on telecommunications networks.

THE INVITATION TO VISIT FSUE NIIR AT “SVYAZ-EXPOCOMM – 2012”
The Expocentre Fairgrounds will be hosting “Communications Days’2012” from 14-17 May 2012. This event will be held under the support of the Russian Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications and Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade as well as under the patronage of the Moscow Government and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. In the framework of this forum the most significant event of the telecom industry will take place – the annual international exhibition “Svyz-Expocomm – 2012”.

V. Butenko, the FSUE NIIR Director General was elected to be the Deputy Chairman of Radiocommunication Assembly 2012
On 16 January 2012 â in Geneva (Switzerland) at the International Conference Centreâ (CICG) opening of the Radiocommunication Assembly 2012 (RA-12) has been held. According to the ITU Constitution and Convention Mr. Hamadoun Toure, the ITU Secretary-General declared the beginning of work. In the welcoming speech Mr. Toure noted, that RA-12 is an important period in life of ITU Radio Communication Sector prior to the World Radio Conference 2012 (WRC-12). Also Secretary-General noted that it is the first Assembly under the leadership of Mr. F. Rancy, the new Director of Radiocommunication Bureau, and thanked for the excellent preparatory work and arrangement of this event.

FSUE NIIR participation in Radiocommunication Assembly 2012
Within the period from 16 to 20 January in Geneva (Switzerland) one of the significant events in the filed of telecommunications is being carried out – the Radiocommunication Assembly. The Assembly is convened once in four years between Plenipotentiary and World Radio Conferences.
